Services:
The broker services we provide are product development
and management, program marketing, program financial management,
and consulting services (with respect to insurance company and
administrator relationships). Since we do not represent the
insurance company or the administrators, we work exclusively
for our association clients.
Culture:
Creekmore Livingston understands the member insurance
business from all of the important points of view: member relations,
communications, accountability, marketing, technology and underwriting.
To this knowledge platform we add a working philosophy based
on the best interests of the clients' membership and a strong
old-fashioned work ethic. We focus on our work very personally.
Industry
Situation: The association insurance industry has consolidated
considerably in the last several years, with larger but quite
a bit fewer service providers. In the absence of natural
growth, industry managers can typically be expected to reduce
services and budgets to the lowest level tolerated by their
clients. Clients may periodically re-bid their administrative
services, but changing broker-administrators only perpetuates
the problem.
Significance:
In the past, it was theoretically possible to consolidate
the broker and administrator for greater efficiency. However,
past business experience has taught that this is no longer the
case. Further, a consolidated broker-administrator arrangement
automatically precludes any form of check and balance system.
That is how and why Creekmore Livingston is purely an independent
broker, so that we can act primarily on behalf of the client and
the member, rather than the insurance company or the administrator.
